George Duryea lived in Muttontown, New York.[1] He was the son of Roloft Duryea (1792-1863) and Mary Ann Duryea (1792-1830).[1] He was born 9 May 1821 and baptized 15 July 1821 in Wolver Hollow.[1] He married Sarah Post, daughter of Elisha of Bethpage and Sarah Seaman of Jerusalem.[1] Their children were:
He was one of the builders of most of the homes in the Dutch settlement.[1]
He died 30 March 1896.[1] He was buried in the Locust Cemetery, Muttontown, New York. It is located on what was known as the road from East Norwich to Jericho, Long Island.[2]
