Biography

William Hurst was born in the mid 1530s, probably in Henlow, Bedfordshire. He was the son of Henry Hurst and Agnes (Unknown).

William was married June 15, 1560 in Chipping Barnet, Hertfordshire, to Rose Marshe, daughter of John Marshe and Joan (Unknown). Their children, all born in Henlow:

2. Henry Hurst, bp June 10, 1561, d. July 26, 1608, unmarried
3. Joan Hurst, bp May 8, 1563, d. 1567

William Hurst was buried in Henlow in 1571.^[1]

It has been claimed, without evidence, that William Hurst's mother was Agnes Dalton.
