Notes by Walt Steesy

Sometime after the import of this file by Osmer-2, she abandoned this profile and two others (Olmstead-332, 333, 334). All three had just a name and no data other than his reference number. All three are brothers, sons of Joseph & Elizabeth (Butler) Olmsted that married Hosmer women.

I have adopted all three profiles and will eventually appropriately merge them into previously created profiles. One of the problems is that the spelling of the family name, with and without the "a", has caused the creation of duplicate profiles under each spelling. There continues to be discussion as to which form was used by the early Olmste(a)d families; those in Hartford, CT, which includes this family tend to use Olmsted without the "a." If and when the actual usage is determined the various profiles will be edited.
