THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXCERPT TAKEN FROM THE VALENTINE PAPERS Vol. 1-4:

"Jonathan Knight & Judith his wife, Granville Co. North Carolina ,Archer Pledge & Anna his wife, Goochland Co. , John Redford & Unita hiswife, Henrico Co. , Pleasant Turner & Agatha his wife Halifax Co. andPerrin Redford & Susannah his wife, Goochland Co. and Thomas Woodson &Mary his wife, of the county of Goochland , (the above are daughters ofJoseph Woodson , of Genito and their husbands) to Joseph Woodson son &heir of Joseph Woodson , of Genito , 325 a. of land on the Creek andbranches of Beaver Dam Creek in Goochland Co. This deed is made tocorrect an error in Joseph Woodson 's will. He intended to give his sonJoseph the 325 a. land mentioned above. Dat. Oct. 25, 1790 . Ibid. p. 79."

Agnes had a son John Woodson born about 1780 (Goochland Co. Order Bk 14,pg 64; Order Bk 20, p 168). Agnes charged William McCaul as the fatherof her bastard child. As written in the book."
