Robert was born in 1772. Robert Allen ... He passed away in 1829.^[1]

Robert's parents were Benjamin and Margaret Allen. Benjamin was born c1755 and was living in Botetourt County, Virginia at one point. Benjamin died before January 23, 1826 in Casey County, Kentucky.^[2] Robert was born about 1777 in Virginia.^[3]

On October 22, 1798, Robert married Nancy Christerson (born c1782, Virginia) in Lincoln County, Kentucky. Their daughter Nancy was born c1809 in Kentucky.^[3] Their son James was born in February 1811 in Kentucky.^[4]

Robert Allen died on July 13, 1829 in Casey Co Kentucky. His wife Nancy died there on October 25, 1839.^[3]

I Robert Allen of the County of Casey & State of Kentucky nearing the uncertainty of his mortal life do make & by these presents declare this my last will & testament in manner & form as follow the to wit,

First that my body be buried in a decent Christian manner secondly that so much of my personal property be sold as will satisfy my last debts by my Executrix ???. I do give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Nancy Allen all my real estate for & during her natural life. I also give & bequeath to my wife all my personal estate to use in manner & form as followeth. It is understood that I have at ??? times given to my daughter Peggy Morris in property to the value of seventy silver dollars & to my daughter Sally Smith sixty dollars & to my son Robert Allen fifty dollars. My wife is to pay to my daughter Sally Smith ten dollars in property & at the like value to make the amount rec’d by my daughter Peggy Morris & to pay to my son Robert Allen twenty dollars in property at like value. I do also give & bequeath out of said personal property in the profession of my wife to my daughter Nancy Allen when she arrives to lawful age seventy dollars & to my son James Allen seventy dollars when he arrives to lawful age & to my daughter Betsy Allen seventy dollars when she arrives to lawful age & to my son Elisha Allen seventy dollars when he arrives to lawful age & to my daughter Jenny Allen seventy dollars when she arrives at lawful age & to my daughter Patsy seventy dollars when she arrives to lawful age & to my son Samuel Allen seventy dollars when he arrives to lawful age.

I do hereby request my estate should not be appraised & I do hereby appoint my wife Nancy Allen Sole Executor to this my last will & testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 29th day of December 1828.

At a County Court held for Casey County on the 13th July 1829 this testament of writing purporting to the last will and testament of Robert Allen was proven by the Oath of James Allen & Edmund Fair subscribing witnesses thereto be the act of of the deceased and thereupon ordered to be recorded.
