Elaine Elizabeth Evangeline Anderson was born in 1965 in Parrsboro, NS, Canada to Thomas Edward Anderson and Elizabeth Annabelle Sharpe. He father Thomas passed away in 1981 and her mother in 2021. She has 4 Brothers an 1 Sister all still living. Elaine married David B Smith in 1988. She had 1 Daughter Shaunticy Nicole Smith who was born 25 Nov 1988. Shaunticy died on 7 Jun 2017. She divorced David in 1993 and was later Married to Michael Lloyd Terry and they had one son Hunter Nicolas Terry born in 1998. Michael and Elaine Divorced in 2004 and Elaine Married Shawn Geoffrey Hale in 2008. They have no children.
Elaine joined the 1st Battalion Nova Scotia Highlanders (North) Primary Reserves in 1995 as an infantryman. In 2001 she completed a transfer to Resource Management Support. In 2016 she transferred to the Regular Forces. She completed a tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2013.
