Jim, Barbara seems to be linked to the wrong parents. See reference above to her father George Anthony.
No error in linkage, but some confusion due to nomenclature and naming customs, stemming from the old Germanic custom of double first names. As a Wikitree newbie I quickly was entering an outline of my tree. My tree file on Ancestry.com produces a Gedcom file too large to upload automatically, so my entries may all be slow and manual. His full name was Johann Georg Anton or John George Anthony. He was enumerated in 1790 Census in Lincoln County as John Anthony and in the subsequent enumerations of 1800 through 1840 he is listed as George Anthony. In his will he calls himself George. The land on Lick Fork on west side of the Burke Road is still in the family, I believe. It closely fits the description of the land whereon my great grandfather Joseph F. Dellinger resided. the homeplace now badly deteriorated is owned by Marie Dellinger Kiser (Mrs. Oren Kiser). The old house sits alongside Harrelson Road. Marie is the only surviving granddaughter of Joe Dellinger and she was my mother's half-first cousin. So, yes, there seems to be an identity of the two profiles and a need to merge. Are you also a descendant. I see you are interested in researching the Dellinger family in NC, so are you a descendant of "Indian Creek" George or "Muddy Fork" Jacob? I descend from George. Thank you for the heads up. Jim Bowman, [email address removed]
