"Bartholomew Applegate, son of Thomas, married 1650 Hannah Patrick. He is believed to have left Long Island about 1674, settlings near Cranbury, in which vicinity his descendants are numerous. Many of this branch of the family spell the name, Appleget. His children were John, Daniel, Hannah, Mary, and it is supposed Thomas, Benjamin, Jacob and probably others."[3]
Court Records
"Thomas & Bartholamew Appllgate" were plaintiffs in a case to sue Shrewsbury residents for "Non performance of a written agreement made by the Towne Clarke on the behalf of aforesaid Plaintiffs craves the Judgment of this Corte" which was scheduled for 2 Sep 1679. They dropped their case however. [4] No additional details were recorded by the Court.
What evidence is there for a middle name Wall? I know it's his mother's LNAB, but it was unusual for a non-aristocrat to have a middle name in the 1620s.
