From personal Family Tree information compiled by Shelby T. Armstrong, Jr. of Kentucky of over 20 years of research on the internet and several visits to the areas various related at local Historical Societies in areas were Armstrong family members of Shelby settled when coming to Kentucky as-well-as North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ireland and Scotland. An extensive collection of census reports, marriage records, death certificates, Revolution Pension applications, visits to cemeteries, Find A Grave, historical books online and at libraries, notes handed down to Shelby by the generations of relatives that kept records of family members.
