1825 Marriage
The parish record for Saint George, Bloomsbury, Middlesex in 1825 states that Richard Geary, of this parish and Elizabeth Ashley, of this parish, were married in this church by Banns on the twenty second day of May in 1825. The witnesses were Thomas Ashley and Mary Geary. [1]
1841 Census
In 1841, Elizabeth (aged 40) and her mother Elizabeth Ashley (aged 80) are living at 5 Edward Street in the parish of St Leonard, Shoreditch. [2] Also there are 2 of her children - William aged 15 and Ellen aged 8.
1851 Census
Elizabeth and children William and Ellen are still in Edward Street. [3] Elizabeth's birth place is recorded as Whiston in Yorkshire.
1861 Census
In 1861 Elizabeth is a Laundress living at 19 Eagle Wharf Road. She is listed as having a daughter named Harriet Dawson with her aged 15, but this is probably an error. The original appears to show Harriett's occupation as Servant crossed out. [4]
1871 Census
Elizabeth is living in Cross Street, Clapham. [5]
1878 Death
