John was reportedly born in Anson County, North Carolina. He married Martha Allums in Washington County, Georgia, on 7 March 1819. They moved to Barbour County, Alabama, in January 1821.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
Hello All, I uploaded a photo of a marriage between Martha Allums and John Beasley, but it was from Baldwin County, GA. The date it has was March 9th, 1820.
Now that I see there is a different date and county of marriage here, mentioned here, I will see what I can find in Washington, County. I am new to wiki-tree so please forgive me I am doing this incorrectly.
No worries about doing something "wrong". That's what we are all here for, is to help one another. Anything that turns out to be wrong can be easily fixed and we are here to help.
I am admin of the Beasley Surname Study and YDNA Project. We have a lot of work on your lineage and others related. In fact, I am distanty related. Yours is one lineage of particular interest. We have on DNA test that places your folks in line with others we refer to as the "Blue Group". We do need more to get this settled, so if you have a male Beasley relative who could help out, please let me know.
Thanks Doug, Yes, we did a zoom call together not long ago. I have someone calling me on Sunday and he is a descendant of Thomas Ira Beasley, son of James Tarpley Beasley and Rebecca Efurd. I am hoping he would like to take the YDNA test so we can have some more info about the Blue Line. I have asked around with my uncles and cousins as well.
Beasley-1349 and Beasley-519 appear to represent the same person because: There was no other John in the family so, despite the differences in dates of birth and death, we need to default to John Giles Beasley's record.
Correction. This line is part of our project but it is not the Daniel Beasley I was thinking of. This one is actually related to me. I can share a lot of information and once again. Please contact me for further discussion.
Yes, Marcia (Beasley-2787), there is active work on this line. As administrator of the Beasley ONS, I've actually been working on it this past week. We have identified his father, Daniel, as the earliest known Patriarch of this tree. We have a YDNA test and some descendants and possible relations who have been in consultation. I would be pleased if you would contact me by email where we can discuss your connection and address the progress and plans. Doug Beezley [email address removed]
