Biography
Lelia (Bedingfield) Johnson is a part of US Black heritage.
Lelia was born in 1924. She was the daughter of Cleveland Bedingfield and Whitten Yarbrough. In 1930 she was living with her parents and siblings in Georgia, Limestone County, Alabama.[1]
By 1940 the family had moved to Louisville, Kentucky, and Lelia was one of two children still in their parents' home.[2]
In 1950 Lelia was living with husband Elmer Johnson and three sons in Louisville, Kentucky.[3]
Lelia was widowed when Elmer passed away in 1979. She passed away in 2015 and was buried in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.[4]
