Biography

Jacob Berry was born December 27, 1732 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, his father to Marten S. Berry and his wife, Maria Roome. He was baptized on 9 Jan 1734 at Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He married Margaritje Mead on June 30, 1764, in his hometown. They had nine children in 19 years. He died on March 13, 1814, having lived a long life of 80 years, and was buried in the First Reformed Church Cemetery in Pompton Plains, New Jersey.
