Jacob Blom was born on June 10, 1896.[2] His parent's were from Holland. At age 3, He was in his parent's home Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.[3] The family moved to Thornton, Cook County, Illinois, by 1910, where at age 13, he along with 6 of his siblings was in their home.[4]
He Married Elizabeth Flym (1898-1982) on June 20, 1919 in Lake County, Indiana.[5] They had 8 children.
Jacob and Elizabeth were living in Lansing, Cook county, Illinois in 1930, where he was a Brick Maker, and she was taking care of the home and children, Beatrice-10, Robert-7, Kenneth-5, and Vernon C-3.[9] He was a Dary Produce Salesman in 1940, with Robert helping him.[10]
He died on November 22, 1944, at the age of 48, in Lansing, Cook County, Illinois,[11] and was buried in the Homewood Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Homewood, Cook County, Illinois.[2]
