Thomas, son of Thomas and Mary (unknown) Bonney, was born prior to 1665. He married Dorcas Samson before December 24, 1684, the date of her father's will where she is called "Dorcas, wife of Thomas Bony." Dorcas is the daughter of Mayflower passenger Henry Samson and his wife Ann Plummer.
Thomas and Dorcas resided at Duxbury where they had three children: Ebenezer, Elizabeth, and Mercy. Dorcas probably died during childbirth with her last child or shortly thereafter.
Thomas married second Sarah Studley at Duxbury on July 18, 1695. There are no known children of this marriage. Sarah died prior to July 29, 1735, the date of Thomas' will where she is not named.
Thomas died between July 29, 1735, the date of his will, and August 19, 1735, the date his will was proved.
The will of Thomas Bonney, dated July 29, 1735, names daughter Elizabeth, wife of Ephraim Norcutt, and the children of his daughter Mercy, now wife of John Curtis, that she had when married to first husband Nathaniel Delano, namely Nathaniel, Mercy, Lydia, Zerviah, and Mary Delano.[1]
His inventory was recorded on 20 January 1735/36 in Plymouth.[2]
In 1750, his real estate was divided between his grandchildren, Nathaniel Delano, Mercy, wife of John Pryor, Lydia, wife of Ebenezer Delano, Zerviah, wife of Joshua Briggs and Mary Delano (a person non compos mentis)..[3]
