DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
There is extensive research on John Boon (Boone) done by Ron Humphreys, on Find-A-Grave. His research disputes the relationship to the Daniel Boone line. Ron is a cousin of mine and I received family stories and verification of names and dates from him for several years. He has traveled to the cemeteries, homesteads and researched public records in the counties where the events took place.
I will do some additional research and may disconnect from the Daniel Boone line.
