Biography

LUCE PERPETUA BOURG is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 12, La Ville D'Archangel. Arrivee le 3 Decembre 1785. She is listed as a widow (veuve). The plaque contains the names of the three children who arrived with her from St. Malo aboard the Archangel: Victoire Hebert, Anne Hebert and Julienne Hebert. [1]

Luce Perpetua was born about 1744 in Cobequit, Acadia [2] Her parents were Francois Bourg and Madeleine Hebert. She married Pierre Hebert, widower of Marie Robichaud 25 Jan 1762 in Trigavou, Cotes d'Armor, France.[3]

She and her family were deported from Isle Saint -Jean in 1758. She arrived in St. Malo January 23, 1759. Her mother and older brother did not survive the trip. She and her 17 year old brother Alain survived together.[4] 1759 St. Malo, Ille-et-Vilaine, France [5]

Luce married Pierre Hebert (30) (born in Saint-Charles-des-Mines, Grand-Pré, Acadie, Nouvelle-France) in 1762 in Trigavou, Cotes d'Armor, Bretagne, France.[7]
