Phillip Brantley Sr. was a Virginia colonist.

Phillip Brantley was born about 1655 in Isle of Wight, British Colony of Virginia, the son of Edward Brantley and an unknown mother.

Philip Brantley married Joyce Lewis about 1660 in Isle of Wight County. This is confirmed by the 1692 will of John Lewis who names Phillip and his five children as legatees along with his sister Joyce Brantley. [1]

Philip is named in his father's will written 30 March 1688 and proved 9 January 1688/89 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Bequests in the will:

  • son Edward and his son James 165 A. of land;
  • son Phillip and his son Edward;
  • son John and his son John;
  • daughter Mary;
  • to my sons eldest sons.
  • Daughter Mary Extx.[2] [3]

He died 22 March 1731in Isle of Wight, Isle of Wight, Virginia.
