Jane Broggreff was born in Shoreditch (Ramsgate) London on the 14th April 1799 and baptised at St. Leonard's Church, Shoreditch on the 22nd April 1799. Her parents were William Broggref (1770-1832) and Margaret Bolton (1770-1815). [1]

By special licence yesterday morning, the 14th inst. by the Reverend Mr. Cowper, in the Church of St Philip, Sydney, the Reverend John Hobbs, Weslyan Missionary to New Zealand, to Miss Jane Broggref, late of Ramsgate in the County of Kent.
from First Years at Hokianga 1827 - 1836 by Rev. C. H. Laws - The New Zealand party left Sydney for the Hokianga in the ship “Governor Macquarie" on October 20th, 1827. Its members were Rev John Hobbs and Mrs. Hobbs, Miss Bedford and Mr. and Mrs Luke Wade. Hobbs had been married on August 15th to Miss Jane Brogriff of Ramsgate who with Miss Bedford, had arrived from England in the vessel by which William Cross had traveled.
Buried in Grafton, Symonds Street cemetery in Auckland, New Zealand.
