Biography

Mary Brown was born September 15, 1773, the daughter of Benjamin Brown and Mary Haskell, who settled in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia ^[1]

On May 4, 1794, she married John Haley, a widower, the son of Ebenezer Haley and Grace Bullen, of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia ^[2]. ^[3]

John and Mary lived in Granville, Annapolis, NS Their children included:

• Elizabeth, born 13 Mar 1797^[4], who married James Morrison

• John, born 24 Aug 1799^[5] who died unmarried

• Mary Ann, born 1801, who married Benjamin Crosup, then Thomas Anthony, and then James Anthony

• Grace Matilda, born 1803, who died unmarried

Mary Brown Healy died October 4, 1803, and is buried in Stoney Beach Cemetery in Granville Beach, Annapolis, NS^[6]

Mary died in March 6, 1795, and is buried in Stoney Beach Cemetery in Granville Beach, Annapolis, NS^[7]

They had one son
