Ruth married Richard Schofield/Scofield, son of Richard & Mary (Unknown) Schofield, on September 14, 1689, at Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony - parents of Jeremiah, Joshua, James, Jonathan, Hannah, Deborah & David.
According to Thomas William Brundage,[1]
Ruth Brundage b. 1672, d. post 12/1782, m. 9/14/1689 at Stamford, Richard Scofield, b. 1649, d. 1745. (4 sons + 2 daughters).
According to the following record, the marriage date is 1699: Family Tree Owner: Tim Dowling.[2]
They had seven children listed at "Ye Historie of ye Town of Greenwich."[3]

In 1697, Ruth Schofeild (The correct spelling of the surname) was mentioned in her father's inventory.[4]
Perry Streeter says,[5] says that Ruth Brundige, b. 1665-1669 (1669 ?) probably at Rye, Westchester, NY (then Fairfield County, CT). d.? M. 9/14/1689 Richard Scofield. Also, Stout Old John had 2 grandchildren named Jonathan.
Jonathan Brundage, b. 1688, the child of John Brundage, b 1660-1664 and Johanna Bush/Brock.
Jonathan Scofield, b. 10/9/1698, the child of Ruth Brundige and Richard Scofield. John and Ruth were siblings, and the Jonathans were 1st cousins.
According to the following record, pages 510-511, 644-645, John Brundage (Brundish, Brondig, Brondige) born in England 1585, came to America in 1632 after a temporary sojourn in MA, settled in Wethersfield, CT, where he died in 1639, leaving him surviving his widow Rachel and the following children: Mary, John, Posthume, Bertha. The child, John, who married Hannah, had a daughter named Ruth, who married Richard Scofield: "Ye Historie of Ye town of Greenwich" by Spencer Mead, New York, 1911. Rye where many Brundages originated is next to Greenwich. Many early Brundages are listed in this sources including Revolutionary War soldiers: [6]
