Catherine (Bulkeley) Sandys was born in Beaumaris, Anglesey, Wales.

Catherine Bulkeley was born about 1570 to parents Sir Richard Bulkeley 1542–1621 and Katherine Davenport 1538–1573 in Beaumaris, Anglesey, Wales. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

Family Search has Catherine as one of four children born to her parents yet other publications suggest only Richard and Catherine were the only children: ^[4]:

Catherine married Sir Edwin Sandys, son of Most Reverend Edwin Sandys and Cecilia Wilford, on 2 July 1604 in Lambeth, Surrey, England. She was his fourth wife. ^[5] Catherine and Edwin had thirteen children. ^[6]
