Biography

Known by her stage name Vikki Carr, she is an American vocalist whose career spans more than six decades. She has performed in a variety of musical genres, including pop, jazz and country, her pioneering crossover into Latin American music solidified her international stardom. Winner of 4 Grammy Awards and honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 at the 9th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.

Florence was born in 1940. She is the daughter of Carlos Cardona and Florence Martinez.^[1]

Her 1st marriage was to producer and entertainment attorney (private, still living) on March 9, 1966 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. She was 25 years old and he was 24.^[2] Their marriage ended in divorce in February 1974.^[3]

Her 2nd marriage was to paint company executive (private, still living) on August 20, 1979 and the marriage ended in divorce.^[4]

Her 3rd marriage was to physician Dr. Pedro De Leon from 1993 until his death in 2019.
