Seeking confirmation to my Mayflower ancestors including Brewster, Alden, Mullins, Warren, Hopklins, Cooke, Eaton and Soule. Also, potentially Rogers, Turner and Chilton.
Albert was born in Battle Creek, MI where he was raised on the family farm on Poorman Road at East Avenue North. He attended the one-room Poorman school through the seventh grade. His eighth grade was at Joy # I three-room school where the 7th and 8th grades of 8 country school districts in the newly consolidated Pennfield Schools met together. Upon graduating from the 8th grade, Pennfield Schools decided to keep the 9th grade students in the district rather than sending them to Battle Creek or Lakeview schools. To accomplish this, the bus garage currently being constructed was converted into classrooms for the new Junior High School. This was the beginning of the Pennfield Schools complex on Pennfield Road. Pennfield students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades were transported to either Battle Creek or Lakeview schools.
During the registration process for the 10th grade, Albert needed to choose one more class and, at the suggestion of the counselor, a drafting class was selected without him really understanding what drafting was. A few weeks into the class, Albert fell in love with drafting and proceeded to take a heavy load in the subject throughout his 3 years in high school. During his senior year, Kellogg Company decided to add entry level draftsmen and Albert was selected to work half days while attending school the other half day for the rest of the semester. Following graduation his employment became full time extending to a 38-year carrier of drafting, design, project engineering, and management.
Albert met Doris Langs while both were teenagers at church and they married March 12, 1954. When their first child was expected, they built a home on the family farm. There they raised their three children: Deborah born in 1956, Randall born in 1959 and Brenda born in 1961. Each later married providing 6 grandchildren and now 18 great-grandchildren.
Albert and Doris’ lives together began at church and continued throughout their lives as they actively participated in dedicated involvement first at Assyria Gospel Church, then at Bedford Bible Church and for over 50 years at Calvary Baptist Church.
Following Albert’s retirement in 1990, a new upsized home was built on the family farm where numerous gatherings were held for large church and family groups. Spending a portion of winter months in Florida became a regular event for over 20 years. In 2012 they realized the need to reduce the level of work to maintain their home and yard. A condo in Battle Creek was purchased into which they moved in 2013.
After nearly 66 years of marriage, Doris was relieved of failing health as she met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 14, 2020.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
