David married on August 17, 1752 at Cape May, New Jersey to Phoebe Gandy [1] b=1722 d=1770 & they had about 6 children ...

William C. Casto, Sr. b=12 Jan 1760 d=1830 VA m=c1783 PA to Hannah Bonnett(e).
David left New Jersey in a 2-wheeled wagon, crossed the Delaware River, Pennsylvania, the Potomac River and settled in Hampshire County (Berkley), Virginia. [1]
In 1773 they left with what they could pack on their horses, traveled the Indian path and settled on the Mononghaela River (now Fairmont) in a log cabin. [1]
Because of "Indian trouble", they went to Pennsylvania. Many reunited in Jackson County, Virginia in the early 1800s. [1]
David CASTO, Sr. died about 1770 in Berkeley, West Virginia.
