Thanks for helping with Wikitree
Thank you for your comments. I added a source to John Hayes' profile. I also made several edits to Hannah (Miller) Lee's profile given I recently discovered she was the sister of Patrick Miller, Sr. (1620-prior 1675), not his sister. The Patrick Miller mentioned in the 1675 document was Patrick Miller [Jr.] not Patrick Miller [Sr.]. The connection to Williame Miller (c.1595-c.1650) is Patrick Miller [Sr.]'s father so I have removed the note about Williame Miller being Hannah (Miller) Lee's father.
Also, the Sources and Research Notes are interwoven in the biographies of Williame Miller (abt.1595-abt.1650) and Hannah (Miller) Lee (abt.1650-aft.1675). This makes it quite hard to tease apart the Biography, Research Notes, and Sources. This page has helpful links: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:How_to_Edit_a_Profile
Thanks, Deb
I'm just letting you know that I've sent you a private message. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Regards Gillian
I just sent you a private message - please let me know if you didn't receive it. Thanks! I look forward to working with you.
I agree; however it is impossible for me to know which WikiTree profile(s) you are referring given I manage numerous thousands of WikiTree profiles. Jim
Just a quick reminder Just a reminder that Pre-1700 profiles require reliable sources. You may find the Scotland Project Reliable Sources helpful.
In all cases, and online family tree is not a reliable source.
I received an email about G26 and someone named Heath-4729 and tried to respond, but I don't know how. So, I looked through the Tharp/Thorp/Thorpe files that I filled in probably a year or more ago. I spent a great deal of time on them. After that, a woman whose name I do not remember kept erasing William Thorpe married to Margaret, parents of Thomas Thorpe and his Alice, the first in my line of Thorpe's to settle in America.
She kept writing that Thomas was the son of William who was the son of George Thorpe, which is not correct.
Many years ago I went to Berkeley and Wanswell to find out more about the Thorpe ancestry. I went to the Berkeley Castle while there, just to see it and hopefully to find out who the Thorpe Tower (part of the castle) was named after. We arrived after closing hours, but I could tell that someone was inside. Since we had to leave Berkeley early the next morning, I pounded on the door and the historian/also the tour director let me in. We were the only two in the castle. I showed him my Thorpe genealogy, and at the time I believed as the lady did---that Thomas b. 1668 was the son of William, son of George. He looked at my pages of genealogy and informed me that it was wrong. No one today would be related to George because his son William never had any children.
It was the wrong William. I see you left it as it should be. I left Wikitree because the woman kept changing the ancestors that I wrote (which you have) and I felt disgusted that someone could do that, especially since I knew it was wrong. I began to feel that Wikitree didn't care if something was correct---only how many people voted on it and who had seniority. I had been under the impression that Wikitree stressed accuracy instead.
I wanted to be a part of Wikitree because I have worked on my genealogy for over 50 years and by now, I have a lot of information. Being told that I could not list anyone in the 1500's, for example, until I took a test, I found bizarre.
I was constantly hounded to join a research group. I didn't have time for that! I was trying to put all my ancestry down with as many sources as possible.
I looked at my Urton family---not a common name---and finally took them off the orphan list. I did not dare look at my Tharp/Thorp/Thorpe ancestors because I assumed it was as the lady had changed it.
I'm sorry this note is so long! I just wanted to thank you for keeping the correct ancestry alive!
Sincerely, Suzanne (Sue) Tharp Guerra, [email address removed]
Also have any of your living male Miller relatives been Y-DNA tested? This could confirm our sharing a direct male Miller in our family lines.

Andrea, I also noticed the record in the Christ Church Parish register that William Batchelder was the son of "WILLIAM & Sarah Batchelder" which you also note in the body of his WikiTree profile. However, someone has listed his father as a JOHN Batchelder on William's WikiTree profile. Is there a way to correct this? My Miller family are tied to the Batchelder's in Middlesex County, Virginia.

This is of our family as well I would send them a message about it Jim.
Thank you for your time and energy in creating over 1000 (actually, over 1600!) contributions to WikiTree for the month of July 2019. Your efforts are appreciated!

I noticed this ancestor of yours born 1500 William Trotman https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Trotman-287 with one source.
This source seems to be a blog. Do you have better sources? Comment seems to be a blog
Pre-1700s are stressing to use good sources for profiles in this area. Cite Reliable sources
Thanks Mary
Thanks for all your work on WikiTree. I noticed that you have recently added some profiles for pre-1700 ancestors using FamilySearch's Pedigree Resource File profiles as the source .
There have recently been some updates to the Pre-1700 Profile help page and a minor update to the Pre-1700 Quiz which you took in May 2017. Please review both and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You will notice that the wording has been modified to more fully explain the sourcing needed for pre-1700 profiles.
Thanks,
Debi

Could you please stop creating unsourced pre 1700 profiles. Gillian has posted some information below and it is very helpful.
Please can I also remind you that an important component of your pre-1700 certification is that you use appropriate sources on any pre-1700 profiles you create or edit. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles
