Biography

Pierre Chartier, son of Joseph Chartier and Marie Anne Duclos, was born and baptized on 9 December 1766 in Pointe-aux-Trembles de Montréal, Province of Québec.[1]

Pierre married Agatha LaFrance, daughter of Etienne D’Argent LaFrance and Jeanne Marie Fenelleau, on 2 February 1800 at the St. Louis Church (now Cathedral) in New Orleans, Louisiana.[2]

Agathe LAFRANCE was born about 1782. She married Pierre CHARTIER in 1800 at St. Louis Cathedral. Pierre was born in Montreal, Quebec, and was the son of Joseph CHARTIER and Marie DUCROS. Pierre and Agathe had three known children: Jean CHARTIER (1800); Marie CHARTIER (1805); and Francois CHARTIER (1811).[8]

As of 23 Dec 2019, no record of his death or burial has been found.
