Cockerham Sr.) before his marriage with Nancy Estis was intermarried with another woman, since deceased, by whom he had children to wit The said William Cockerham (Jr.) and Anna Cockerham, who by her intermarriage with Esley Hunt became the mother of William & Henson Hunt who in this cause, appear in the character of complaint.

It should be noted Jane Hunt Bates wasn't mentioned as she was a daughter of Anna Cockerham Hunt

Research Notes

Interesting. I need to review the Hunt documentation on her, which I have not looked at for years. Seems quite possible she passed from something that may involve the last childs birth.

Cockerham-571 and Cockran-22 appear to represent the same person because: Cockerham is the correct last name. Esli is the correct spelling of the spouse. She went by Anna, but her legal name was Hallie Agnes. Thanks so much.
