Biography

Benjamin was the second son of Caleb and Hannah (Shurtleff) Cook

He married Mary Gray on 2 Oct 1754 at Kingston, Plymouth, MA Bay - parents of Elizabeth, Sarah, Elkanah, Faith, Caleb, Lettice, Eunice, Priscilla, Patience and Molly Cook

He is buried at Old Burying Ground, Kingston, Plymouth, MA

Probate

Benjamin Cook of Kingston, yeoman died intestate and on 10 April 1800, Elkanah Cook of Kingston was granted the administration of his estate.[1]

His inventory was taken on 11 July 1800 in Kingston. His estate was set out to his widow Mary, Elizabeth Stetson, wife of Thomas Stetson, Sarah Cook, Elkanah Cook, Lettice Everson, wife of Samuel Everson, Eunice Cook, and Patience Cook.[2]

In 1801, an account of his estate by Elkanah Cooke was recorded which included debts collected, allowance to the widow, appraiser, debts paid, gravestones, repairs to the barn, legacies paid, and administration fees.[3]
