Thomas Cooper was born on 22 Dec 1851 in Carcoar, New South Wales, Australia, son of William Willis Cooper (abt. 1798–1868) and Deborah Jane (Mason) Cooper (abt. 1816–1879).

1871 - 4 years gaol for horse stealing
1875 - 18 months gaol for horse stealing , his brothers Samuel & Reuben were also charged with him.( Thomas used the alias Maison) [1]

Thomas (30) married Sarah Ann (Gallagher) Cooper (22) (born on 4 Dec 1859 in Myrangle near Yullundry, New South Wales; daughter of James Gallagher and Letitia Anne (Rice) Gallagher) on 30 May 1882 in Parkes, New South Wales. [2]
