Lucy de Corona[1]

Lucy de Corona was the daughter of Hugh de Corona, the first of Adlington, and his wife, Amabilla, the daughter of Sir Thomas de Bamville.[1]

Lucy was the sister of:

  1. Hugh de Corona, the second of Adlington, who married Lucy;[1] and
  2. Sarah;[1]

Lucy married twice.[1] Her second husband was Sir William Baggiley.[1]

Lucy and Sir William had children:

  1. a son who died without children;
  2. Ellen, was married to Sir John Legh, son of Sir William Venables of Bradwell and surnamed "de Legh";[1]
  3. Isabel, who married Sir John de Hyde;[1]

Lucy De Corona and William Baguley, had two daughters: Ellen, who married Sir John Legh and Isabelle, who married a John De Hyde. Their (Ellen & Isabelle) mother (Lucy) was the daughter of Hugh I De Corona of Adlington and Amabillia De Bamville, daughter of Thomas. Lucy had a brother (NOT HUSBAND): Hugh II De Corona (who had a son: John and a grandson Thomas, who was the last male in the line. Some of the Adlington land, which Thomas inherited, passed to Ellen and her husband, Sir John Legh.

The best looking account I can find says Lucy was daughter of Hugh de Corona I and Sir Thomas de Bamville, therefore a great aunt to Thomas de Corona (son of John, son of Hugh II). https://archive.org/stream/remainshistorica97chetuoft#page/n117/mode/2up (early 19th century sources say she was a ex wife of Hugh II (so still a great aunt). (Also these old versions make Ellen a daughter of Thomas.

Page 79 quotes a document which seems to state very clearly that Lucy had been wife of Hugh de Corona. Strange.
