Biography
Ada Josephine Maud Delpratt was born on 12th December 1894 in Beaudesert, Queensland (Australia). She was the third surviving daughter of Joseph Delpratt and Ada Haggard. [1]
She became a nurse and attained the position of Matron at Tresillian North, Wollstonecraft, New South Wales, an organisation correctly termed Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, specialising in infant and maternal health care. [2]
Ada married Barton Small in 1945 in Grafton, New South Wales (Barton's home town). [3] It was the first marriage for both, aged in their early to mid 50s. They had no children.
Ada passed away, aged 79 years, on 26th April 1974 in Brisbane, Queensland. [4] She was survived by Barton, who passed away five years later.
