Ada Stewart Haggard was born in 1854 in Kensington, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom. She was the eldest daughter of Henry Haggard and Elizabeth Robertson. [1]
The family migrated to the new Colony of Queensland (Australia) after 1861. [2]
Ada married Joseph Delpratt on 20th December 1873 in Queensland (Australia). [3] They had thirteen children, three of whom did not survive early childhood. After initially living in Nambour, in Queensland's Sunshine Coast hinterland, they moved to Beaudesert, in Queensland's Scenic Rim, in the early 80s.
She passed away, aged 60 years, on 26th December 1914 in Beaudesert, [4] Queensland and was buried in the Church of England (Anglican Church) churchyard, Mundoolun, Queensland. [5] She was survived by her husband of 41 years and ten of their children.
