Biography

Sarah was the wife of Anthony Webster. No source has been found to support her birth name of Dodson.

Sarah was named in Anthony Webster's will dated 5 May 1808 in Amelia County, Virginia. She was enumerated as head-of-household in Amelia County during the census of 1810 over the age of 45.

She made her own will dated 26 October 1815 naming only five children. She named her son Archibald Webster, bequeathing him a debt of $150 he owed to her. She specified her four youngest children as Thomas W., John, Martha, and Richard Webster.

She named her youngest three sons Thomas W., John and Richard as her executors. Her will was proved 28 May 1818 with on Thomas W. Webster taking on the administration with John and Richard as his securities on the bond.

Research Notes

Removed Jonathan Dodson as there is no evidence she married this man who lived and died in Massachusetts. Likewise, her birth name Dodson appears to have no source.
