I was born in the 60s to my mother and the man I was raised to think was my biological father. He died when I was pre-school aged. I went to school in Houston, feeling the sting of having a deceased father. When I was in junior high, my mom remarried to someone she had dated for about 5 years. A little later he adopted my sibling and me and gave us his name. He's my dad! They raised us in the Houston area.
I went to college in Louisiana and returned to Texas after graduate school. I like to roller skate, read, listen (and sing along) to music and play tabletop games.
Last year after my sibling's DNA test returned we found out that we were half-siblings and that I was the one whose paternity was unknown. Now I'm trying to learn about DNA and Genealogy.
My dad remains my dad, even if I find my biological father. I'm not looking for family, but I like connecting with people and welcome the opportunity to meet people online or face-to-face.

I see that you mentioned adoption in your message. By adding your branches to our shared tree, there may be an opportunity for someone to find you!
Adoptees: How to Set Up Your Profile is a WikiTree help page specifically designed for new members who indicate they are adoptees. It is also helpful for non-adopted members who have adoptees in their family tree. The page includes links to more resources, like our Adoption Angels Project, basic search techniques, information on DNA, etc.
Good luck!
