Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.

I have been interested in genealogy for several years now but am still a novice at the research. I have just discovered wikitree and am excited to have this resource available. My goal is to trace my heritage and add my own knowledge so that it is available to my children and theirs and so on such that when they reach the age of interest in genealogy a background is already there and they can add their own family facts to perpetuate the history.
