Marie Drapeau was born on 6 May 1674 in Berthier and baptized the 18th in Notre-Dame de Québec, daughter of Antoine Drapeau and of Charlotte Joy. Godparents at the infant's baptism were Pierre Basin and Jeanne Queneville wife of Pierre Mole. The officiating priest was Thomas Morel and H. de Bernières registered the record.[1]
Marriage
Marie Drapeau married Jean Baptiste Hallé, widower of Marie Maranda, on 18 July 1695 in Pointe-de-Lévy (Lauzon). In the presence of known witnesses Jean Drapeau, Jean Carie, Jacques Girardet, Ignace Carie, Charles Bissot, and François Grenet. The celebrant priest was Philippe Boucher.[2]
Death and Burial
Marie Jeanne Drapeau, widow of Jean Baptiste Halé, passed away on 6 July 1754 being given the age of around 72 years on the record. Her burial was the following day in Notre-Dame cemetery of Québec. In the presence of known witnesses Jean Vallee and Guillaume Taphorin. The officiating priest was Charles Youville Dufrost.[3]
