Scott was born in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania - the Weather Capital of the World. His parents moved to DuBois Pennsylvania and rented a row house on Dixon Avenue for a short time until moving to a larger house just outside of DuBois near Luthersburg.
Scott attended Wilson Elementary School, Sandy Middle School, and DuBois Area High School - Home of the DuBois Beavers. Their main high school rivals were the Punxsutawney Chucks (woodchucks, groundhogs). Scott then earned a BS in Physics degree with a Math minor from the Pennsylvania State University (1986) and a Masters degree in Applied Physics from The Johns Hopkins University (1992). He also studied CNC and manual machining at the Community College Baltimore County (CCBC) in Catonsville Maryland.
Scott spent most of his career as an Experimental Physicist and Experimental Machinist designing, building, and testing scientific instrumentation.

1982, Jan, First date with his future wife, Amy Kriner.
1982, graduated from the DuBois Area High School, DuBois, PA
1982-1983, attended the DuBois campus of the Pennsylvania State University (PSU). Chemical Engineering program then switched to the Physics program after the first year.
1984-1986, PSU, University Park. Solid State Physics/Math minor.
1987, Jan, graduated with a B.S. in Physics.
1987, Nov, Started first professional job at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Research Department, Laurel, MD.
1992, Oct, Marriage to Amy Kriner and purchase of first house in Crownsville, MD (Severnview Drive).
1998, Mar, Started work at DiaSorin, Stillwater, MN. We lived in Hudson, WI - just across the river from the Twin Cities
1999, Mar, Returned to the JHU Applied Physics Lab and lived in Laurel, MD on Mayflower Ct.
2003, May, Purchased our second house in Woodbine, MD on Hoods Mill Road.
2009, Mar, Began working at ICx, Reisterstown, MD.
2010, Mar - 2017, Oct, Ran C&E Research, Inc. with Tim Cornish.
2012, Mar - 2017, Oct, Director of Prototyping for Defense Architecture Systems in Columbia, MD.
2017, Oct, Zeteo Tech, Inc. acquired C&E Research, Inc. and i began working in Sykesville, MD.
