In the ancestry.com marriage source cited below the surname of Elizabeth's husband William is incorrectly spelled "Mackadoo". In the VAGenWeb citation below, William's name is spelled "Mackado" and should be spelled "McAdoo". (Marriage 6/1/1790 William Mackado {McAdoo} and Elizabeth Evans by Rev. Charles Cummings).
The fact that the minister is the Rev. Charles Cummings almost certainly places the marriage location at Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church then located near Black's Fort, (aka Wolf Hills), Virginia, reportedly because Daniel's Boone's hunting dogs were attacked by wolves there. The original log structure of the Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church was on the site of the present-day Sinking Springs Cemetery at Abington, Washington County, Virginia.
The Rev. Charles Polk Cummins (abt.1732-1812) was a noted historical figure of the American Revolutionary War era. He was the First minister of Sinking Springs Presbyterian Church at Abington, Washington County, Virginia, from its establishment on 2 June 1773, and served as its pastor until his death in 1812.
This VAGenWeb records also shows the related Evans marriages of the era, probably Elizabeth Evans siblings or family.
