Biography

William was the son of Thomas Faircloth and wife Sarah, who were early settlers of Surry County, North Carolina. He married Dicie Hendrix (sometimes spelled Hendricks) in Surry County on March 1, 1817, and they were the parents of 12 known children. By 1840 they were living in Stokes County (per census records). William died in 1848. In the 1850 census his widow Dicie was living in Forsyth County (which was formed from the southern part of Stokes County in 1849).

William was born in North Carolina as reported on the 1880 census record for his son Abraham Jackson Faircloth.

As on January 24, 2017, there seems to be no memorial for William on Find A Grave.

Faircloth-73 and Faircloth-97 appear to represent the same person because: Your William P. Faircloth is also my William P Faircloth. I would like to merge these two. Thanks.
