Biography

Pernina (Farmer) Estes was born on 27 Feb 1817 in Union City, Franklin, Missouri, United States, daughter of Aquila Farmer (1767 - 1851) and Mary (Nail) Farmer (~1782 - 1850).

Pernina married Hiram Estes on 8 May 1837 in Union City. Together they had fourteen children:[1][2][3][4]

Her husband, Hiram, died in 1863. She married Benajah Gentry on 30 Oct 1881 in Newton County, Missouri.[5][6] By 1885 she was living with her son Henry in Johnson County, Nebraska -- without her new husband.[7]

Pernina died on 18 Mar 1909 in Newtonia, Newton, Missouri aged 92.[1] She is buried at Dice Cemetery, Fairview, Newton County, MO.[8]
