Daniel Ferree was a son of Daniel Ferree and Maria Warenbuer. It's not known exactly where or when he was born, but by 1681 the family was living in Steinweiler in what is now western Germany.
Daniel's father was probably dead by 10 March 1708 when permission to emigrate from Steinweiler was granted to "Daniel Fuehre," his wife, his widowed mother Maria, and six children, who are believed to be Daniel's two sons, Andrew and John, and four of his siblings. The court clerk stated that the family was "not moving away clandestinely, that during the time their father, the widow and children resided in this place they behaved themselves piously and honestly, [and] that it would have been highly gratifying to us to see them remain among us." [1]
The family arrived in New York in about 1710, and after spending some time there, they settled in what is now Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. On 12 September 1712, a patent was issued to Daniel Fierre and Isaac Lefevre, "late of Steinmeister, in the Palatinate of the Rhine" for 2,000 acres of land, part of the 10,000 acres "on the north side of a hill about twenty miles easterly of Conestogoe and near the head of Pequea Creek" which had been warranted to Martin Kendig and others two years earlier. [2][3]
A memorial to "the earliest settlers in the Pequea Valley, September 12, 1712" gives Daniel's birth and death dates as 1676 and 1762. It also states that Daniel's wife, Anna Marie Leininger, was born in 1678. [4] The memorial was erected long after their deaths, and it is not known the source for those dates.

The bio shows he was naturalized as a British citizen before he arrived in America. I doubt it.
