Biography

Anne Fitton was daughter of John Fitton of Gawsworth [1] and his wife, Ellen Brereton.

She married Sir Richard Holland second son of Thurstan Holland and his wife, Joan Arderne. Their children given in the 1567 visitation were Richard and Randolph who both died young and Edward. [2]

No source has so far been found for her death but she predeceased her husband who remarried. [3]

Fitton-179 and Fitton-123 appear to represent the same person because: Since these Ann Fittons are married to the same man they represent the same person. DOB more likely to be 1495 though both are probably estimates.

british history online [1] says Richard Holland was 20 when he inherited Denton in 1513 giving a dob about 1493 as given for Anne's husband. This Anne would then have been in her eighties and unable to bear children. Richard cannot have been Elizabeth's father if her dob is correct. I'm unable to follow the source given here. Source for Hollands of Denton gives no daughter, Elizabeth, for Richard. [2]

Fitton-179 and Fitton-123 do not represent the same person because: Anne's birth pre-dates birth of both parents. Her birth date is incorrect, or she is a different person than the other Anne.

Fitton-179 and Fitton-123 appear to represent the same person because: These Alice Fittons are married to the same man

Fitton-179 and Fitton-123 do not represent the same person because: Too much time difference between birth dates. Spouse name is the same, but from two different profiles that would need to be merged first, if possible.

Fitton-179 and Fitton-123 appear to represent the same person because: Same husband.
