I'm a native Texan, a fifth generation Houstonian, and a graduate of John H. Reagan High School and Houston Baptist University. My lovely wife and I were married in 1971. In that same year, I was ordained in the Baptist Church and spent the next several years in the ministry as a Baptist Pastor. In 1977 I graduated from Southwestern Seminary with a M.Div. Degree. My wife and I are the proud parents of two wonderful sons and God blessed us with two beautiful grandsons! In 1985, we made the big decision to transfer to the United Methodist Church and I was ordained again as a United Methodist. Since then we have served in several appointments in Texas and as of 2013, we are enjoying a much deserved retirement.
