Johann Frushour is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A042577.
If the 1722 birth date[1]
is correct, Wendel (Johann Wendel) emigrated as a boy of ten with his parents Johann Georg Froschauer and Katarina Graf. The family settled in York county, Pennsylvania for some time[2].
He married Eva Derr (or Durr) before 1760 and they hand two children baptized in the Evangelical Reformed Church of Frederick Maryland. Subsequently, the family moved to Sleepy Creek, Berkeley, Virginia (now West Virginia), where land records place Wendle as of 1773.
“The records of Berkeley County and other sources show that about this time (1784) James Rumsey built a mill on Sleepy Creek and that it was either built for Wendle Frushour or it twas soon thereafter acquired by him as it was part of his estate at his death in 1794.”[3]
Johann Wendel Frushour died in Berkeley County, Virginia, now West Virginia, in 1793. His estate was probated in 1794.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johann by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johann:
Frushour-3 and Freshour-45 appear to represent the same person because: The many spellings of Freshour/Frushour/Froschauer has led to a number of duplicates for us to untangle. These two: "Johann Wendel" Frushour and "Vendol 'Wendel'" Freshour -- brothers with the same parents, birth year and death years appear to be clear duplicates.
Froschauer-9 and Frushour-3 appear to represent the same person because: I believe these are the same person. The difference is in the spelling of the last name.
Added John Freshour(Freshour-202) as son of Frushour-3 and Durr-9 based on NSDAR Genealogical Research System, https://services.dar.org/Public/DAR_Research/search_adb/default.cfm; Ancestor #A042577
