William Fulton was born on 19 September 1787 in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, son of James Fulton (1754–~1830).^[1]

William and Mary Coleman were married on 11 January 1813 in Chillicothe, Ross, Ohio, United States.^[2] They had the following known children:
