Biography

Phoebe (Green) Healey immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Phebe Green was born in 1629 in England to Bartholomew Green and Elizabeth Unknown. [1]

Phebe married William Healy at Cambridge, Massachusetts on August 15, 1661. [2] [1] They had 4 children.

On October 2, 1666, Elizabeth Green filed a petition concerning her daughter Healey; sister Michelson and son Longhorne are named.[3]

  • October 2: John Jug, aged about 22, testified he saw Healey striking his wife. child in her arms
  • July 30: Examination of Wm. Healey & wife
  • July 30: Samuel Renolds and Daniel Berkley, servant gave testimony concerning Healey & his wife . Mrs. Healey's brothers Longhorne and Green [1] are named.
  • October 2: Answer: Wm. Healey [3]

Research Notes

Prior Version. A prior version of the profile included, "She passed away on 1665 in Cambridge Village, Middlesex, Massachusetts." This seems not possible as the court record shows she was examined by the court in 1666. [X-3336, 29 January 2023]
