I'm fairly new to geneology. I do have a family tree on ancestry.com and can trace back to the 1700's under my maiden name. I would like to find out more information going back on my father's side. My family is researched in the books "The Shoe Cobbler's Kin" by Lorena Eaker and my aunt helped her with some of the information. I'm also trying to establish a DAR membership. My 6th great-grandfather was a patriot and at least two of his sons served in the revoluntionary war.
