Guy Constantineau est membre actif du projet Portail Francophone
Guy Constantineau is Québécois francophone.
Cet utilisateur a pour langue maternelle le français.
This user can contribute with an intermediate level of English.

Wikitree and me

Amateur genealogist since about twenty years, I started with a course including how to read old documents, at the Société de Généalogie Canadienne Française in Montreal.

Moved to St-Jérôme, I have been president of the Société de généalogie des Laurentides. In 2013, due to family and health reasons, I left all positions outside my home and started using only Internet for my genealogy research..

Today, I participate in the Global Tree Wikitree. I volonteer by taking responsibilities in different roles in projects or departments where needed and where I will be happy. Registered since 2012, I decided to invest more time and efforts in october 2014.

Hi, Guy!

I am interested in tracking my family to the Mayflower passengers, I have some links I got from my family, but there is no source documentation.

Hi Guy,

I’ve not heard back from you so presume you don’t want to continue in the Canada Project at this time so have gone ahead and removed your badge. If that changes anytime you would be most welcome to re-join in the future.

Hi Guy,

I haven’t yet heard back from you to say whether or not you’d like to continue in the Canada Project. Please can you let me know if you’d like to stay, what team(s) you’d like to be in, and let me know your e-mail address so I can add you to the project Google Group? If I haven’t heard back from you by this time next week I’ll assume you no longer want to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to re-join at any time.

Many thanks,

Hi Guy,

Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.

You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.

Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?

Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).

I have been trying to do research but am unable to go much further. I agree with Nadia, I don't quite understand the process also. I have been in touch with a wiki tree person who has helped me with my husbands side of the family and I have also helped him with correct information that he needed. Both sides of my husbands family do come from Quebec and France but I do need lots of help. Lynne Soulliere (Flewelling)
