Leslie Jeanne Hall was born to Wesley Elmo Hall and Bonita Pursiville in Ada, Pontotoc, Oklahoma in 1952. Until the age of three she and her parents lived in Pawnee, Oklahoma where her father taught English, coached debate and drama and drove the school bus at Pawnee High School. Wesley Hall started work on the Hall tree while living in Pawnee and over the years interviewed all of the living eldest members. After Wesley completed his Masters Degree he was hired by Northeastern State College English Department in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The family lived there from 1954 to 1964. During that time Wesley completed his Doctorate and moved the family to Modesto California. Following a brief two year stay Wesley took a teaching position in the English Department at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. Leslie attended college at the college and completed her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in 1973 and married Alan H Brown who started the photography program in the art department at Southwest Missouri State.
In 2002 Wesley E. Hall published "The Hall Tree, An American Family History" following many years of publishing a monthly Family Tree Newsletter and corresponding with hundreds of relatives. Leslie joined him in researching the Hall family and continues his work.

I noticed that you're working on pre-1700-era profiles. This is just a reminder that certifying to work on these types of profiles means that you agree to add valid sources as outlined in the Pre-1700 Certification Quiz.
For pre-1700 profiles, we require more rigorous sources. (See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources and https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Category:Reliable_Sources_for_Pre-1700_Profiles.) Those sources must be added at the time that you create the profile.

Also, the profile for Nathan Lusk (1682-1748) has a source, but it needs a bit of editing so it goes in the Sources section. Deb
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Congratulations in getting back before 1700! Since you are now back in the time period where many people can be descended from those ancestors, we need more details in your source area. As collaborative genealogists, we need to tell each other our sources so that we can work together to asses the relative reliability of the source and the evidence it contains.
